The city of Clermont-Ferrand is located in the centre of France in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is the 23rd largest commune in France and the 19th largest urban area in France.

With a population of around 143,000, the city is the capital of the Massif Central, one of the key regions in the French economy. Whether by road or rail, Clermont Ferrand is easily accessible and is thus developing its national reputation. Clermont Ferrand also has an airport serving some twenty destinations, making it an internationally visible city.
